Privacy Policy
AI Download Manager and its browser extension. Effective 29 October 2026.
Who we are
AI Download Manager (the Windows program and its browser extension for Chrome and Edge) is published by Bluewake Labs, the software studio of Raouf Nader. For any question about this policy, write to support@bluewakelabs.com.
The browser extension
The extension has one job: when you start a download in your browser, or choose “Download link with AI Download Manager” from the right-click menu, it hands that download to the AI Download Manager program running on the same computer.
To do that, at the moment of the download it gives the program:
- the address (URL) of the file;
- the address of the page the download came from (the referrer);
- the cookies your browser holds for the file’s own address, so that downloads that need you to be signed in still work;
- your browser’s user agent (its name and version), so the site sees the same browser.
This information is sent only to the program on your own computer, at the local address 127.0.0.1. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. The extension does not read or change the content of the web pages you visit, does not inject scripts into them and does not keep a history of your browsing.
The extension stores only its own settings in your browser: whether capturing downloads is switched on, the local port of the program, and the pairing token it received from the program when you connected them. You can switch the extension off at any time from its toolbar button, or remove it.
The program
The program keeps your download list and settings in files on your computer. It connects to the internet only to:
- download the files you ask for, from the sites they come from, using the information described above;
- let your phone control it, only if you switch mobile control on (your phone then reaches your computer over a private network that you sign in to);
- check your license when you activate one, through our online store provider.
If you connect an AI assistant (such as the Claude or ChatGPT desktop apps) to the program, the assistant talks to the program on your computer. What you write in those apps is handled by their own providers under their own privacy policies.
Sharing and use
We do not sell, rent or transfer user data to third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. The use of information received from the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Children
AI Download Manager is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
